Kazahkstan also known as Kazakstanhas recently become a favoured travel destination fro those wishing to tread the unwalked path. Almaty is the biggest city and most of the countryside is given over to what was once the Russian steppe although there are a series of mountains and lakes for those wishing to get back to nature. The country´s greates asset is its natural resources which have been untouched for a long time as farming has long been the main industry and not of the intensive type either. Nature is at its purest inland and there are many excursions available to those wishing to see and experience the Kazak countryside.
